Manual Settings (without using the configurator): #
The steering wheel configurator assists with the configuration process, but it’s not the only way to set up your device. You can manually configure each input of the controller. This is explained using a steering wheel as an example (the same process applies to pedals).
The image below shows a specific functionality, in this case, Steering – steering the vehicle. You can select the input responsible for this either by clicking on the field and moving it or by manually choosing from the list.
The green bar visualizes the behavior of the steering wheel or pedals in the game. For the steering wheel, -100% indicates maximum left turn, while 100% indicates maximum right turn.
Additional options are available, such as Mode and Deadzone.
Mode determines the input operation mode. There are 4 options:
- Normal – controller axis operates in the 0-100% range.
- Invert – controller axis operates in the 0-100% range but in the opposite direction.
- Centered – controller axis operates in the -100% – 100% range.
- Centered Invert – controller axis operates in the -100% – 100% range but in the opposite direction.
Deadzone is also available, which allows you to set a dead zone on the controller.
